Se espera pelea interina por el título entre Khabib y Ferguson para el UFC 209

Aparentemente el siguiente retador por el título de peso ligero de Conor McGregor será determinado el 4 de marzo de 2017.

De acuerdo a la notable fuente rusa Izvestia.ru, Khabib Nurmagomedov se enfrentará a Tony Ferguson en la estelar del UFC 209 en Las Vegas. La fuente también confirmó que la noticia será anunciada por el presidente de la UFC, Dana White, en los próximos días. Sin embargo, los funcionarios de la UFC no negaron la noticia cuando se les preguntó.

La semana pasada, Khabib reveló que había un “90 por ciento de probabilidad” de que enfrente a Ferguson en su próxima presentación profesional. A pesar de los reportes anteriores que mencionaban que la UFC no había decidido si la posible pelea entre Nurmagomedov y Ferguson sería por el título interino de peso ligero por la ausencia de McGregor, pareciera que la estelar del UFC 209 sería por el título interino de peso ligero. Esto marcaría la segunda pelea interina por el título anunciada este mes.

El UFC 209 está programado para el 4 de marzo de 2017 en la T-Mobile Arena en Las Vegas, Nevada.
